Summer Rally 2018 to Channel Islands and N. Brittany - Expressions of Interest

The Summer Rally returns to the Channel Islands and North Brittany. Our ports of call will be St Peter Port, St Helier and St Cast Le Guildo.

A variety of activities are planned at each of these destinations.

Details so far are as follows:

Sat 26th May Arrive St Peter Port
Tide wise, 26th May is good day to arrive in St PP from the North. Tide through Alderney race and down to Guernsey is favourable from approx. 09:45 until 14:15. It is slightly closer to neaps and there should be no problem to carry tide all the way, however as ever it is necessary to wait on holding pontoon until around 15:15 BST when there will be 2m over the sill. For anyone planning to arrive on the Friday, everything is about 50 min earlier.

Tue 29th May Sail from St Peter Port to St Helier
Tides again work well for passage from St Peter Port to St Helier. Depth over sill drops to 2m around 09:15, therefore leave Marina before 09:00. Wait on pontoon (and fill with Diesel) until 11:30 then 5 hour passage to arrive St Helier as Marina opens.

Fri 1st June Sail from St Helier to St Cast Le Guildo
Departure from St Helier will be around high water. Passage is mainly cross tide just off top of small spring tide (Coeff 74). Main decision is whether to pass to E or W of les Minquiers. Arrival in St Cast is likely to be around low water.

Mon 4th June End of Rally

Expressions of interest can be registered at the link below. This does not commit you to anything. The rally booking form should be available during March when fine detail has been organised.
